Our Maca comes from the Peruvian Andes and grows at altitudes of 3000 - 4500 meters. The plants are grown in natural quality. Maca is exposed to extreme climatic conditions and is therefore very resistant. The Indians have been using the tuber for thousands of years.
Since 2000 years in South America in the high altitudes of the Peruvian Andes cultivated Maca contains among other things zinc & selenium. Numerous vitamins such as A, B1, B2, C and D, minerals such as magnesium, calcium, iron and potassium, as well as a large number of amino acids are contained in the capsules.
Maca was originally cultivated in a limited area of the Peruvian Andes around Lake Junin, at an altitude of 4000 m to 4400 m above sea level. Since the 90s of the last century, Maca is now cultivated again on a larger scale, but mainly in its traditional distribution area.
Effects (Health Claims):
Due to current EU legislation, the advertising of food or food supplements for their health benefits is limited. This allows us to make only health claims to consumers, which are subject to the Health Claims Regulation of the EFSA (European Food Safety Authority).
