Resveratrol is a polyphenol and has been found in more than 72 plant species. It became known as a naturally occurring component of red wine. It is particularly concentrated in the skins of red grapes and provides the plant with protection as a natural defense against parasite and fungal attack as well as adverse weather conditions such as humidity, UV radiation and temperature fluctuations.
Resveratrol is a naturally occurring antioxidant. Which occurs in two different forms. One is cis-resveratrol and the other is trans-resveratrol. However, only the trans form is readily available to the human body. The product from Krause Hof naturally contains trans-resveratrol. In addition, piperine is also included to further increase bioavailability.
